Bowie Spring 5K and 2 Mile Walk Another great 5K Run in Bowie is the annual late March event organized by the Bowie Recreation Council. The Start and Finish is at the Bowie Town Center with registration in the Food Court building. This is an excellent choice because the starting line is a few steps away, and one can remain indoors until the last minute in case of cold or inclement weather. The course runs up the length of the center from Sears on Emerald Way, doubles back along the north side of the shops, cuts south in front of Sears across Evergreen Parkway, and, after meandering along a series of paved trails, returns to the shopping center by way of Northview Drive.
